Postgraduate students (Master by Research / PhD) in UTM (Malaysia) with collaboration from RIKEN Research Institute (Japan).

Benefits:
1) Candidates can apply for any scholarship from Malaysia such as MyBrain15, Zamala, National Science Fellowship Scheme, research grants, etc.
2) Candidates can conduct the research at RIKEN in Osaka, Japan for 6 months to 2 years. All expenses such as two-ways air tickets (Malaysia <-> Japan), accommodation, and monthly allowance will be fully covered by RIKEN.
3) Candidates will conduct the research in leading edge systems biology topics, and work amongst the experts in Japan.

Desired Qualifications:
1) Malaysian citizen
2) Possess a Bachelor / Master in:
Computer Science / Bioinformatics / Electrical Engineering / Electronic Engineering / Mechanical Engineering / Information Technology / any other related areas.
3) Highly self-motivated to pursue research in systems biology field, with applications in real biological problems.
4) Has strong mathematical background and C++ programming skills
5) Familiar with Linux environment.
6) Enjoys working on research projects
